Terms of Service

Terms of ServicePrivacy Policy

Version: October 1, 2026 · Draft

These terms apply to online workspaces, cloud sync, and related account services provided by Tano / 同页. Please read these terms and the Privacy Policy before using these services. The local open-source software and shared core are governed separately by the MIT License included with the software. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses.

1. Accounts and security

Provide accurate account and email information, and protect your password and the credentials stored on your devices. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not impersonate others or use another person's account without authorization. If you discover unauthorized use or suspicious access, sign out of the affected sessions and contact the service operator.

2. Your content

You retain your rights to documents, attachments, and other content you upload, create, or share. To provide the storage, sync, collaboration, and sharing features you choose, you authorize Tano to store, transmit, copy, and display your content to the extent necessary for those features. This authorization does not transfer ownership of your content.

Make sure you have the right to process the content you submit and comply with applicable laws and confidentiality obligations. Keep your own backups of important content. Local and online workspaces are separate.

3. Sharing and collaboration

Check the scope of access before inviting members, granting permissions, or publishing a sharing link. Depending on the permissions you grant, recipients may view, edit, download, or copy content. Revoking access or disabling a link does not recover copies recipients have already saved.

When connecting third-party agents, tools, or self-hosted services, review their permissions and terms. Their own privacy policies also apply when they process content with your authorization.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activities, infringe others' rights, distribute malicious code, access systems without authorization, or disrupt normal service operation. Do not bypass access controls, abuse account registration or email interfaces, or use automated requests to undermine service availability.

To address abuse, security incidents, or legal requirements, the service operator may take necessary and reasonable measures, including limiting requests or suspending affected features or accounts, and explain the reasons where applicable.

5. Service and fees

Features, capacity, and availability are subject to the service scope displayed when you use them. Paid features should disclose their price, billing period, limits, and cancellation rules before purchase. Charges that have not been clearly displayed and confirmed by you do not constitute a purchase agreement.

Maintenance, network failures, or other events may temporarily interrupt the service. We take reasonable measures to maintain it but do not promise uninterrupted availability or suitability for every particular purpose. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

6. Stopping use and data

You may stop using cloud services and sign out of your account. Stopping use or signing out does not automatically delete cloud content. Deleting documents, revoking sharing, and requesting account deletion are separate actions. For account and personal information requests, see the Privacy Policy.

Save the documents and attachments you need before deleting content or ending your use. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations, address security incidents, or maintain backups. The relevant scope of processing should be explained to you.

7. Changes to these terms

The version date will be updated when these terms change. Material changes affecting account use, content processing, or user rights should be communicated through reasonable means, with renewed consent where applicable law requires it.

8. Operator and contact information

This document is a draft. Before publication, it must identify the service operator, contact email, applicable law, and dispute resolution arrangements.
